Babe- a cute little girl

Pretty little white, black, and tan dappled Bodeguero girl, just like a Jack Russell Terrier. Babe has a soft short coat.

She has had a pretty rough time, so we are looking for a loving home for this cute lovely natured little girl. Babe likes other dogs and she likes cats. Babe really needs a home with another dog who will give her confidence.

She stands at 30 cm high and measures neck to tail 35cms. She weighs 7kg, so she is a little lap dog.

Breed : Bodeguero (Jack Russell Terrier type)
Age : 3 years

Poor Babe has a very sad story.

In October someone left a litter of newborn Bodegueros in a sack outside a local shop in Spain, they were picked up by the Council and taken to a shelter. A few days later neighbours started to see Babe in the same area and with evidence of having had puppies.

She did not show herself every day, sometimes once a week but despite that, every day the neighbours brought her food and left it for her.

We know now she had been abandoned by her owners and they also threw away her puppies, that’s why she has stayed in the same area all that time.

She was terrified of everything, always hiding and fleeing everything and everyone she saw. With a lot of patience and determination the Rescue shelter volunteers managed to catch her.

We do not know how Babe would react to children so she would like a home with no children.

Babe would love another dog in her home, as she really loves being with her foster companion.

Fosterer’s report :

Very nice little girl

She is a shy dog, still insecure and afraid, but calm and sociable, she is lovely with cats and is learning trust.

FOSTER REPORT UPDATE and VIDEO
The video shows a very brief couple of seconds of BABE captured through the window. She is a different dog when playing with another little boy I am fostering and she is quite funny because as soon as I go to the door they stop playing.

She is a changed dog with this little chap here, she has come out of her shell and when I am sitting on the dog sofa outside and ‘the little chap’ comes up for a fuss she comes up and pushes in – she wants her share now!

So definitely she could be homed with another small dog.

The next video shows her welcoming me home and how happy she is to see me so as I said we have tremendous improvement in just a few weeks in foster.

She leave me soon to go to her new foster home in the UK

For Dogs coming from Spain and Portugal
This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering (if old enough), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from Spain or Portugal to people who work, even part time. They need someone at home all day, they are not used to being alone, so even a couple of hours broken with a dog walker will be too much for them to cope with. They are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.

Adoption Fee : £225 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account
