This lovely pair of dogs are inseparable and get along together very well. Therefore, we need to find a loving home for them together.
Amora is a 12 year old, small, Bullbreed x mix girl with a short, soft, black and white coat. She is gentle, affectionate and calm and loves Bart very much. They have been together for the last 6 years, being kenneled together at a shelter and then living in a UK home. Amora has a touch of arthritis and DogwatchUK will pay for her pain relief for life. Amora stands at approx 21 inches from floor to her back.
Bart, her friend, is a gentle, timid, 9 and half year old boy with a short, tan coat and he is part Podenco and Ibizan hound mix.  He likes to run and will chase furries, if he sees any. He stands at approx 29 inches from floor to back. They have both been used to a large garden and their own living annexe. They haven’t had much lead work lately, but they good on lead albeit strong. They have not been let off lead in open spaces.

Unfortunately, their owner has recently died and this leaves them needing a new warm, comfy home with experienced owners, with or without an existing dog. A large garden would be a great positive for them but small children would worry them, so no children under 15 please.

Their Best Points :
Both gentle amenable dogs that want to please

Foster Report :

Living together in an annexe that has been cleaned out and enlarged they are happier in themselves now but need to be more intergrated with family life and recieve more gentle walks. They have both responded well to the changes made and are happy to meet new visitors. We dont know about cats, and Amora will bark at some other dogs on her walks.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.

All dogs are microchipped                                             All new owners can apply for 4 weeks Pet Insurance  FREE, to be activated from the link on our website

For Dogs coming from Spain and Portugal              This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering (if old enough), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.

We can not home dogs from Spain or Portugal to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
