Sweet little Bella is just 4 and a half years old. She has a soft, short, tan coat with a black masked face and she is a petite Frenchy x with a SBT girl. She is very affectionate and loves cuddles and gets on well people and when meeting dogs in the street. She is very good on lead. We think she hasn’t met enough dogs to be friendly with them but she’s not nasty, and yet she does bark at dogs when on the TV!!

We think little Bella has led a sheltered life and not been taken out very often but the vet confirms shes had at least two litters of pups. We are now thinking thank god we got her as it looks like shes been used as a breeding machine and not had much life bless her.

She hasn’t been tested with cats and we know from where she came from, she is good with children. A home with children or a retired home and no other cats or dogs would be best for her. Luckily, she is in season now and she will be spayed once its safe to do so by DWUK. Bella is safe in foster in Stourport.

Her Best Points :

Affectionate, petit and good on lead

Foster Report:

Number 1 (Day 2) –  Bella is lovely dog but very anxious, and as she has been here just 2 days, so she still has to relax and know she is safe. She has just stared her season NOW. She craves attention. Vet says she has had more than one litter of pups. Bella loves to play fetch, and so far only aggressive to dogs on TV. She is not comfortable when out for a walk with ears down and tail tucked, she does not move from your side. I just think shes been kept in a small place with no outside experience.

Number 2 (day 8) Bella is much better with her confidence and will have her vaccinations on Monday.  She is does not guard toys or food. Bit overly affectionate and in your face, she is a strong dog but harmless.  Follows you around everywhere. No aggression seen to date apart from dogs on TV but stops when told.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped

All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. This costs £17. If you would like us to arrange this for you, at a reduced rate of £7.20, we will ask you to do a bank transfer to allow us to register the change.

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
