Bilbo is a medium sized lovely boy (small for a English Setter) with a black, white and roan coat which makes him very attractive. Bilbo has been treated badly in the past so sometimes he’s a bit nervous with other dogs and can nip them but not hard, he can also nip people he doesn’t know but again not hard and certainly not piercing the skin, but as a bit of a defence mechanism. Once he gets to know people he is affectionate and very loving and loyal. He’s very energetic, runs like mad and is a happy dog.
Breed : English Setter
Age : 4 and half
He needs an adopter with experience of working dogs, willing to invest time in his training and take him for decent daily walks. Also somebody with the patience to help him to overcome his fears. He would do well in a home with another confident dog to be his role model.
Poor Bilbo was in a horrible pound in Cantabria, Spain before being rescued by a nice animal shelter. One of many many abandoned Spanish gun dogs.
