Beautiful Blanca is a white with black, short coated, pointer cross girl standing at 62cm to shoulder and 76cm from neck to tail. She is a nice gentle caring girl and loves her fuss and attention. Blanca can live with children and cats. We think she would like a friend to live with to keep up the confidence she has gained in her foster home. We want to find a good family and a forever home for her as she so deserves this after all she has been through.
Breed : Pointer Mix
Age : 3 years
Blanca is another Spanish dog who has a sad story to tell, but thankfully she is now safe and waiting for someone to fall in love with her and give her a lovely home.
She as thrown out of a car in a town in Spain- someone saw it happen but too late to see who. They contacted the Spanish shelter for help and from that time, for the next 3 months she was wandering the streets as no one was able to catch her.
The rescue had many people out looking and helping and she was sighted every day – people left out food but it was impossible to catch her as she was so frightened and kept moving from area to area and would not get within 2 meters of anyone.
After 3 months we were told that a man had been able to gain a little trust and was able to touch her – he had worked hard on this and it is thanks to him that Blanca was caught.
Fosterer’s report :
She has been living with a foster family who are sadly no longer able to keep her there. She has been safe and well cared for and is a completely changed dog, more confident and affectionate and very beautiful – and she is fine with children and cats too!

For Dogs coming from Spain and Portugal
This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering (if old enough), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from Spain or Portugal to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
Adoption Fee : £ 265 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account
