Conchita longs for a happy ending

Pretty little cross breed girl with a black and white short silky coat and she stands at 55cm tall and weighs 19kg. Conchita is a beautiful girl with lots to give and would make a super family pet. She pulls a little on the lead but this should be easy enough to sort out. She loves hugs and gives us lots of kisses.
She loves other dogs to play and walk with.

Breed : Mixed breed
Age : approx 3 years

Conchita is a lovely dog without a bad bone in her body!
She was abandoned and brought into a shelter in Portugal.

The Shelter in Portugal told us – Conchita has blossomed in the last several months since she has been here.
When we first started working with her she avoided all eye contact and it was very difficult to get any acknowledgement. Then she got sore ears and had to be treated daily. She never complained even when it hurt and she soon started to trust us. She is now a loving friendly dog with so much more to give. The sores she had on her ears turned out to be a skin auto-immune problem. This is being treated with prednisolone and we are hoping to be able to reduce the dose from 4 times a week to 2.

Conchita has been at the shelter so long. It’s about time she had her chance of happiness.

We don’t know how she reacts with cats or small children but we can try to do this if required.

For Dogs coming from Portugal
This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering (if old enough), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from Portugal to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.

Adoption Fee : £ 245 – to be paid direct to the Portuguese rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account
