Dogs Dogs everywhere …..

Well the sun is shining and people want to get out more for walks and that would explain why we have had a good month homing lots of our lovely dogs !

Sam a playful rescue dog rehomed by Dog Watch UK

Sam

Little Sam, who has been staying with foster Mum and Dad Janet and Graham who were featured in our last blog, goes off to his new home next week and we are so proud of him as he is such a sweet little angel of a dog and he really deserves a nice home. He is always happy no matter what life throws at him, but now he will have good reason to smile.

Once again Janet and Graham have worked their magic and another little dog who walks into a nice home after learning that there are some really nice humans out there! Our blog which featured Janet and Graham has sparked loads of interest and quite a few people have contacted us to find out more about fostering, which is fantastic.

Henry

The 31st March brought a touch of sadness to us, as the 10 year anniversary of Henry’s disappearance. Henry is the reason that Dogwatch exists he was Denise’s dog who was stolen; she searched and searched for him and in doing so she discovered the sad fate of abandoned dogs, given just 7 days grace for them to be reunited with their owners before they could be legally put to sleep. Unfortunately Denise never found Henry but she did not forget all the other dogs all with sad stories of loss and abandonment, so she set out to help as many as she could. From small beginnings, Dog Watch has gone from strength to strength in the first year they homed 5 dogs, last year 158.

Mia

One of the poundies  we are helping, little Mia has gone to a wonderful new foster home in Studley with a lovely family. She hasn’t put a paw wrong, she is just so happy to be out of kennels.

However we are all concerned about Bonnie who is desperate to get out of kennels and is quite stressed – we hope to move her out into a foster home within the week, which will help her to be more settled, she can get back into the swing of family living and be all ready for her forever home.

Five more dogs have come off the website and gone into the homed gallery including lovely Ruby who had been waiting a few months for her forever home, but we now have the right one for her!

Jake a family friendly rescue dog rehomed by Dog Watch UK

Jake

As always we would like to say a big thank you to all the customers and staff at Sainsburys, Kidderminster. Every week they collect food, treats and toys for our dogs. Jake came to us straight out of the Dogs Home and he could not believe his luck to get two tasty meals a day, not to mention love and cuddles. A big part of getting him ready for his forever home was seeing him relax in the knowledge that he was loved and would not be going hungry any more! Jake was with us for just over 11 weeks, so that is 164 yummy meals, all courtesy of the generosity of Sainsburys Kidderminster.

Roll on April – we look forward to more dogs getting nice homes.
