Lovely gentle Dolly is a four and half year old mixed breed girl with a tan soft coat and lovely temperament towards humans and other dogs. She has been kenneled with another friendly boy, but is now in foster. She may also be ok with cats. Dolly is on the large side of Medium size. Dolly has been abandoned and left in a pound and we have no idea how long she has been there, as this pound is closing and she was in danger.

Poor Dolly, she walks well on lead, as you can see by the video, and despite her sadness, she is still a cheeky girl and she is very affectionate. She loves her walks and just wants love and fuss. She can live with children over 10 years old and other gentle placid dogs.

Her Best Points :
Gentle affectionate and calm

Foster Report
Dolly is here! Safe in foster in Warwickshire.  She is lovely.
Well, I have just witnessed her initiate play and she exposed her belly! 3 days in and her decompression is nearly over and she is a real cutie pie. She is starting to enjoy contact and fuss with us. She refuses to sleep in any bedroom but prefers the landing. I’m yet to convince her to try a bed but will persist, she has a comfy bed on the landing especially for her at night, and there are lots of beds for all the dogs downstairs (but most prefer the sofas). She gets on with the other dogs here and is very sociable. We are really happy with this lovely girls progress so far.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
