Stunning, tan-coloured, medium-sized, Ibizan Hound young man with an excellent character, very sociable and very loving! When he was a young pup, he was the most calm and gentle in his litter, and he has a zest for life !
Freddie needs a new home with another female or friendly male dog, as he loves to play and likes the company of other dogs. He just lost his home because the owner was expecting a new baby.
Freddie is a big pup still and so he will need to continue his training on lead and guidance not to mouth when he gets excited. Freddie is a sighthound and loves running, but he walks well on a halti (but can lunge at passing squirells and furries.)

His Best Points :

Super-friendly character and very sociable.

Foster Report :

A lovely natured dog who is lots of fun to be around. We would keep him if we could!

He would suit people who are active & able to ensure he gets enough exercise & are able to give him some attention & training as he can get excited when you return home from being out – he has good manners, knows what No means & is friendly towards other dogs & people. We have left him on his own for 2.5 hours at a time and he’s been quite happy in his crate.

He is also fine with children but would be best with older children 12+, to live with. Freddie is young & needs firm guidance but we have found him to be obedient once his initial excitement wears off.

A great breed & very handsome, be prepared for lots of people asking about him & fussing him! He’s quite the celebrity round here!

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped
All new owners can apply for 4 weeks Pet Insurance  FREE, to be activated from the link on our website.

All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. This costs £17. If you would like us to arrange this for you, at a reduced rate of £7.20, we will ask you to do a bank transfer to allow us to register the change.

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
