Handsome young boy Hagrid is a medium to large sized, short soft coated, black Galgo He is the brother of Harry, whom he came into the shelter with. The pair are 4 years old and super friendly with a very soft nature, a loving gentle pair of boys.
They both love human company and are more than happy to get lots of cuddles. Hagrid share’s a kennel with his brother Harry and a female of the same size and there is no food guarding or any aggression shown. They all get on very well together.
He enjoys going out for walks and he walks really well on his lead and  is interested in all the new things out there, but can be a little unsure of things he has never seen or smelt before. We think both boys are perfect family dogs and they can be split, but it would be lovely for them to be homed together in home that has a garden, where they can play and run around and have fun.
They have not been tested with cats and we think would suit children over 10 years old.

His Best Points :

Very sociable and friendly, doesn’t pull on the lead – gentle and playful.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped
All new owners can apply for 4 weeks Pet Insurance  FREE, to be activated from the link on our website

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
