Wow look at this handsome fella! Buck is a medium sized cross breed boy with a long silky blonde coat. He stands at 50 cms and weighs 12.6kg.
Buck is a happy dog, he is always pleased to see the volunteers, loves going for walks and playing with people & other dogs. He’s also very happy to be groomed and fussed over, and he loves a cuddle. His favourite thing is to sit right up close to you and be fed little treats. He has good recall, walks well in a harness, travels well and is not at all nervous at the vets.
We are looking for a quiet home for Buck without children. Buck is used to cats.
Breed : Long haired mixed breed
Age : 6 years
Buck was a family pet, given to the children by their grandfather. He was a typical, Portuguese neighbourhood dog; he freely roamed the streets and was very sociable and friendly with everyone he met, including other dogs and cats.
In June 2016 he was brought to the shelter by his owners. We are told he growled at the youngest child of the family, but the circumstances surrounding this are unknown.
We have assessed Buck and he has displayed some aggressive tendencies around food so would need to be homed with people who can help him overcome this, or be happy to leave him in peace to eat his meals and be careful with treats.
