Details of Harper

Lovely, young Harper is a 9 month old Mastin puppy girl, with a lush cream and light tan coat, who came into our care just over a month ago. Poor Harper was a very skinny girl, full of worms, ticks and fleas – which have now been treated. The last month has been spent building her up with lots of regular meals and she’s blossomed into a very beautiful girl.

Harper is great with her kennel mates and, although a little shy, she loves people and lots of love and affection. Harper has now started her vaccinations, got her passport and her blood tests where clear, she’s also spayed. Harper is doing very well with her lead training but would benefit from some ongoing training as she’s not had the best start in life, abandoned and found in a very poor condition at such a young age.

We think that Harper is cat, children and dog friendly, because she is very gentle so dog savvy children would be OK.
She is great with other dogs and was found living in area with cats. As Harper is shy at the moment, we want to find a home with another friendly dog to give her more confidence. We think children over 10 yrs for her because of her size.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog:

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped

All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. This costs £17. If you would like us to arrange this for you, at a reduced rate of £7.20, we will ask you to do a bank transfer to allow us to register the change.

Homecheck:

All our adoptions are subject to successful homechecks.

The adoption fee is £250.00 for transport plus an adoption fee of £250.00 depending on the breed and age of the cat.  The fee is paid via bank transfer to the UK or Paypal and covers the cost of passport, microchip, vaccines and neutering (if over 6 months) also transport costs/taxes from Spain to the UK.   There is now a deposit for all homechecks of £25 which is deducted from the adoption fee.

If the homecheck fails the £25 will be reimbursed.

If application is withdraw after the homecheck this is non refundable.

All homechecks are now conducted virtually and will be undertaken via video call (using skype, zoom or equivalent).

We will need to meet ALL members of the family living at the address, including children.

Proof of ID and landlord permission is required

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas:

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
