Details of Jane

Oh not another puppy! 🙂
WOW!
This gorgeous little girl is beautiful Jane and she has a very nice, black with white chest and a short, lush coat. She’s going to be a smallish to medium girliy when fully grown.

As she’s only 5 months old she can travel to uk now and , although a little shy, she is  friendly and loves human interaction and being with other dogs. She can also live with cats.

Bits of info and photos about her still to come in as she’s new to the pound, but we will update the page- if she stays on that long!

We are looking for a home with or without another friendly dog and we think she will be ok with children https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1BbTZzFSUk/

Foster Report:

Jane is doing well; she is just happy all the time, which is refreshing. She desperately needs a playmate (luckily, kids are here as other dogs can’t be bothered!). She loves running around and chasing a tennis ball. I have got her a slow feeding bowl as she really loves her food. She is taking treats well, and is good at night, she slept through last night and the previous.

Her Best Points:

Calm affectionate temperament, and happy little girl.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog:

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped

All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. This costs £17. If you would like us to arrange this for you, at a reduced rate of £7.20, we will ask you to do a bank transfer to allow us to register the change.

Homecheck:

All our adoptions are subject to successful homechecks.

The adoption fee is £250.00 for transport plus an adoption fee of £250.00 depending on the breed and age of the cat.  The fee is paid via bank transfer to the UK or Paypal and covers the cost of passport, microchip, vaccines and neutering (if over 6 months) also transport costs/taxes from Spain to the UK.   There is now a deposit for all homechecks of £25 which is deducted from the adoption fee.

If the homecheck fails the £25 will be reimbursed.

If application is withdraw after the homecheck this is non refundable.

All homechecks are now conducted virtually and will be undertaken via video call (using skype, zoom or equivalent).

We will need to meet ALL members of the family living at the address, including children.

Proof of ID and landlord permission is required

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas:

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
