Young Joseph is a very handsome, black and tan German Shepherd with the cutest ears! He is two years old and Joseph is the most wonderful boy who has obviously not had the best start in life.
We are working with this special lad who now, because of training, enjoys his walks, and now learning the world is not such a scary place, and not everyone is horrible.
A dog behaviour specialist says this…. Joseph is a good German Shepherd with a strong balanced psyche, he is people oriented. Joseph requires his training to be continued as he does not like touching so he needs to be trained slowly. He has no intention of biting but he will warn if he does not like anything. Joseph is curious about dogs and requires more socialisation. Joseph is suitable for a calm confident person who is capable and wants to train and educate a dog. With proper training he will become his owner’s best friend.
Joseph hasnt had much interaction with other dogs but we are working on that, and no contact with cats. A family who could work with him is what we need as he is still young enough to enjoy learning new things and boundaries, and we think no children under 14 years

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog
Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped
All new owners can apply for 4 weeks Pet Insurance FREE, to be activated from the link on our website
For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas
This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
