Lobo is a small fawn and black short coated shepherd mix boy. He weighs 30 kg (66 lbs) and is 50 cm tall (20 inches) from floor to neck. He is very affectionate and would love to have someone of his own to love. He is a big favourite with all the volunteers and they so want to find him a home of his very own. He is great to walk and is easy to train.
Breed : German Shepherd Dog cross
Age : 9 years
Gorgeous Lobo was found in a field in Spain, when he was about 2 years old. He had collapsed from starvation he was dehydrated and very weak.
The wonderful volunteers at the shelter nursed him back to health and he soon showed what a big heart he has with so much love to give.
Lobo is one of those dogs who gets overlooked, despite being loving and full of character he has not found his home yet, he has been in the Spanish shelter for most of his life.
He’s good with people, good at walks and very obedient.
Can you help him find his retirement home ?
He is a loyal boy and he is house trained despite being in kennels for so long .
With dogs he is hit and miss, he likes some dogs whilst others he dosnt care for. He’s shared his kennel with a lot of male dogs and female dogs and sometimes it was ok and sometimes it was trouble. We can’t know why he likes or dislikes other dogs so while he will be ok walking by other dogs we do not think he wants to share his home with another dog, so for that reason we are searching for a home with no other dogs or cats. We also feel a home without small children would be preferable.
Lobo will take a little time to settle into a new home as he will have to get to know his new family, but once he has you will have a friend for life!

For Dogs coming from Spain
This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering , parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from Spain or Portugal to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
Adoption Fee : £135 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account
