This handsome popular fella is Max, he has a face of a Rough Collie and a body of a GSD, what an unusual combination! He has a lush tan short coat, and he stands at 22 inches tall to shoulder in height. He is three years old and likes mixing with other dogs and he likes cats.

Max is now in foster in West Midlands after a time at the pound, and he was in danger just before we offered to help him.
Originally when he arrived at the pound, he was quite quiet but improved in his confidence a lot, and he soon loved his cuddles with the volunteers and by the time he was ready for a new home he was quite a confident loving boy. In his foster home, he is even more confident and loving and he walks well on lead, and lives happily with cats. We know that a home with another female friendly dog would suit him, or he could be an only dog. He will be fine with children no younger than 8 years.
Max has sponsorship and so his donation will be lower.

His Best Points :

Nice character and friendly boy- nice looking

Foster Report:

Max has been in foster for 3 weeks now and his foster mum can’t speak too highly of him. “He loves cuddles, is obedient, knows some tricks, walks well on lead, ok with the cats, laid back and acts as though he has been in the home forever. He eats well and is clean in the house. He is very affectionate and willing to please.
We love him and he will make a family a fantastic pet to love and cherish.”

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped
All new owners can apply for 4 weeks Pet Insurance  FREE, to apply please ask us for the pamphlet, our charity reference number is 1400005179.

All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. This costs £17. If you would like us to arrange this for you, at a reduced rate of £7.20, we will ask you to do a bank transfer to allow us to register the change.

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
