Pedroso a great all rounder

Pedroso is a lovely black Lab cross with a silky coat. He’s a great dog, sociable with dogs and people now, but it wasn’t always like this. When he was first rescued and bought to the Spanish shelter he had a hard time feeling comfortable around people, however, since being fostered this year his transformation has been amazing. He is still shy but he has revealed himself as a very good-natured dog, sociable, affectionate and calm. He is house trained and behaves well on his walks. He is friendly with all dogs and cats. He is a large dog standing at 55 cm (21.6 inches) and weighing 35 kg (77 lbs)

Breed : Labrador Cross
Age : 2 years

Pedroso is very calm in the home and on walks, a good all rounder, he is sociable and affectionate. He likes cats and children too !

Pedroso was brought to the Spanish Rescue with his sister Cuna, in 2016. They were both quite scared, very shy and wary.

They were picked up in a pretty bad condition, so it’s easy to assume they were scared of people because they had been abused.

Pedrosa is still shy and he requires a bit patience to gain his trust, just a little extra time so he feels he is safe around you.
He suffers when he is left alone at home and so its important we find a home where someone is home most of the time or with another dog. Otherwise, to be in a crate if he is going to be alone for short periods of time.

Fosterer’s report :

He was very shy when we first met him, but he opened up quickly.
He behaves very well at home. He is patient and gentle with the kids, who love playing with him, but he doesn’t like to be pestered if the kids get very annoying, and then he likes his quiet place.

He completely ignores our cats, I could even say he seems a bit scared of them!
He is very sociable with our two female dogs. He doesn’t pull much when we go out for a walk on a lead. He is calm, affectionate and obedient. He feels very anxious when he is left alone at home so he comes with us a lot when we go out and is very well behaved.

FREE 4 weeks Pet Insurance- owners to apply them selves direct from our website
Any known health issues- none just anxiety if left for long periods

For Dogs coming from Spain and Portugal
This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering, parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from Spain or Portugal to people who work, even part time. They need someone at home all day, they are not used to being alone, so even a couple of hours broken with a dog walker will be too much for them to cope with. They are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.

Adoption Fee : £ 345 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account
