Handsome Pepe is a medium-sized Stafford boy with a dark, brindle coat. Pepe is great with other dogs and people, but not with cats unfortunately .Although he is coming up to 7 years, he is an active boy that enjoys his walks and fuss. Presently having lead training,as he is excited and eager to get to smells.

We think a family with teenage children and maybe a female dog would be best for him. He walks well no pulling on the lead. He prefers to go alone, sniffing things on the way. He does not bother with other dogs, but he is not compatible with living with other dogs as  he wants to be king of the house. He is friendly and calm, but still quite strong. He has not been cat tested.
He is one of the unfortunate souls been deserted by British owners in Spain and this breed is flagged as dangerous there. He hasn’t got much chance of a home there so we want to bring him to the UK where he belongs

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.

All dogs are microchipped                                             All new owners can apply for 4 weeks Pet Insurance  FREE, to be activated from the link on our website

For Dogs coming from Spain and Portugal              This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering (if old enough), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.

We can not home dogs from Spain or Portugal to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
