Wow! Peter is a very handsome boy with a short tri-coloured coat and unusual facial markings. He is a medium to large boy and he likes other dogs

Peter has spent nearly all his life at the shelter and it just isn’t fair because he is such a lovely, sensitive boy. Peter is a brown, white and black dog with lovely markings on face almost like freckles. Peter was at the shelter when volunteers first started going to look after the dogs 3 years ago. At that time, he was unresponsive to humans, flat and shutting down. Since having regular interaction with humans, he has turned into a delightful chap. He loves going for walks and responds well to love and attention and gains confidence and trust when around people. He is an intelligent dog and will look to his new owner for direction. He is also cheeky, he knows when he is being naughty and will give you a “who, me?” look.

Once he gets to know you, he really is a loving and affectionate dog. He can also be great fun and plays well with his kennel mates. He is a firm favourite with the volunteers and, although we will be sad to him go, he deserves a home of his own where he can go for long walks, relax and be happy. Somebody must fall in love with this boy. What’s not to love?

His Best Points :

Intelligent, loyal and affectionate.

Foster Report :

Peter is a handsome, intelligent dog who deserves a home where he can be loved, taken for walks and cared for. His new owners will need to continue traing and recall with him.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped
All new owners can apply for 4 weeks Pet Insurance  FREE, to be activated from the link on our website

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
