Rocky deserves a loving home. He will fit into any household and has so much love to give.

HIS BEST POINTS:

Rocky enjoys his walks; he can pull and is not keen on other dogs although he lives with Blade whom he loves. Rocky is reactive to other dogs and will pull towards them, even though his tail is wagging constantly. Rocky loves toys, he loves to play. Rocky is super cuddly and loves to snuggle up to you all the time; he will put his paw up and look at you with his big sad eyes.

Rocky is fine to be left, he is house trained and can usually be found snuggled up on the sofa. Rocky is a super dog; he is well behaved, not over excited and a joy to be around. However Rocky would not like to be left for hours and would not suit a full time worker

FOSTER REPORT:

Rocky is currently in a foster home with another dog Blade whom he has lived with for many years and they adore each other. They love to snuggle up together on the sofa, they occasionally have a little play fight, and they will happily eat from the same bowl. Rocky will bark to let you know somebody is at the door and will bark for a few minutes once somebody has come home, this is probably excitement as he loves human company

We would love Rocky to be homed with his lifelong friend Blade. They adore each other. A home with experience of the breed would be ideal. However due to Rocky being reactive to other dogs, it’s easier to walk them separately

BREED: Staffordshire bull terrier cross. Rocky has a soft face, not the typical staffie jaw and is of slender build

AGE: 7 years

GENDER: Male

SIZE: Medium

LIVING WITH DOGS: Lives with Blade but would have to be the only dog if not homed with Blade

LIVING WITH CATS: No. Rocky cannot be homed with cats, small furries or birds as he has a high chase drive

LIVING WITH CHILDREN: Currently in a foster home with 3 older children

HEALTH: Fully vaccinated, Rocky sometimes limps, this has been seen by the vet, it does not seem to bother him and we think he has had this limp for a very long time; he still jumps up and down and races around the garden

NEUTERED: Yes

CURRENT LOCATION: In a Foster Home in Stratford upon Avon

ADOPTION FEE: £165.00 or no fee if homed with his soul mate Blade

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have bee vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped
All new owners can apply for 4 weeks Pet Insurance  FREE, to be activated from the link on our website

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
