Handsome Snoopy is a lovely black and white boy, with a slightly curly soft, black and white coat as befits the Carniche breed.

Snoopy is about as tall as a small Labrador.

Snoopy came to us because his owner had too many dogs and he wasn’t giving them the time and attention they needed.  Poor boy was quite aloof when he first came to us and didn’t know about fuss and cuddles.  Presumably, not used to much human interaction.  However, he’s started to come out of his shell now and is turning into a friendly and playful boy.  He now needs a loving family, who will give him the time and attention he rightly deserves. Current location North Devon.

We are looking for a home with another friendly dog. Not cat tested.

His Best Points :

Friendly and gaining in confidence.

Foster report

I can report that, as an only dog, Snoopy is extremely well mannered in the home  – he does not take or chew anything which is not given to him. He loves a tennis ball as a friend. During the day, he is on our old sofa bed while my husband is working in his office. On walks, he loves to play with other dogs off lead –  he can be reactive on the lead but not all the time. We have taken him to the beach cafe everyday during the walk and he is doing well in the cafe and will sniff passing children. He will make someone an unbelievable companion. He clearly likes people.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped
All new owners can apply for 4 weeks Pet Insurance  FREE, to apply please ask us for the pamphlet, our charity reference number is 1400005179.

All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. This costs £17. If you would like us to arrange this for you, at a reduced rate of £7.20, we will ask you to do a bank transfer to allow us to register the change.

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
