This beautiful Podenco puppy is Tommyhe has a dappled, short, soft, chocolate and white coat like a Pointer and he will grow to be a medium sized boy, weighing around 18kg.

Tommy comes from an unwanted litter, he was given away as a “gift”, and after only one week he was left in a kennel, alone, in the cold, very frightened of the people who took him. He is now in foster home, with three other dogs, and with a lot of love and attention and he’s thriving and
loves his new life. Tommy would love to live with another dog that likes to play.
Like all Podencos, he has a strong hunting instinct, this means he likes to walk and forage, and he must be
ALWAYS on lead and a well fenced safe garden .
Tommy is very loving and friendly to people, other dogs and children.
He has also passed his cat test,as the video below shows.
Happiness is …. a warm puppy!

His Best Points :

Wonderful, happy and confident puppy!

Foster Report :

Tommy is house-trained, and like all the puppies here he is full of energy, playful and friendly with others dogs. He is very well behaved and quiet in the car, and he is good on the lead, sometimes he can pull when he sees something interesting, as being a sight hound he is good at spotting things, but he is learning fast not to do this. Tommy is a very clever puppy as he learns so fast.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped
All new owners can apply for 4 weeks Pet Insurance  FREE, to be activated from the link on our website

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
