Tuna

This beautiful little tan Pod stands at 30cm tall and 8kgs in weight and she is just arrived at her first birthday. She is a little bit timid but loves the fuss and being with other dogs. She is also good with cats but we think children of 13 and over would suit her best

Breed : Mini Podenco cross
Age : 12 months

Found by some Spanish volunteers, Tuna is too small to go into the refuge, so she is in foster care.

Fosterer’s report :
she is very sociable with other dogs and very loving with people once she gets to know them. She is still a little nervous of new people/things, but she is improving all the time. She has been tested with children and videos are available on request. She has been tested with cats and was totally uninterested – again, videos available.

For Dogs coming from Spain
This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering (if old enough), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from Spain to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.

Adoption Fee : £110 + travel fees – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account
