Yugo is a 3 year old, handsome Mastin x. He did have a home, but, sadly the owner became ill and could no longer take care of him. He is a playful boy, but, can be submissive. Yugo knows the basic commands, he would benefit by more training as he is very clever and likes to learn new tricks. Yugo is very good as a pack leader, and he walks away from conflict if there is anything brewing.
Yugo loves other dogs and has previously lived indoors with a female shepherd dog.
This lad really enjoys his walks and is good on the lead, also he loves his cuddles and is very people friendly.
He does food guard at the moment, so he is fed separately. This is something that can be worked on and, after a while of knowing he will always get food and doesn’t have to scrounge for it, then we are confident this will stop. Currently, he is sharing his kennel with a female and two males, he can be protective of his bed. With some proper training, he can taught not to food guard and be possessive with his bed and to share nicely.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog
Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped
All new owners can apply for 4 weeks Pet Insurance FREE, to be activated from the link on our website
For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas
This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
