Details of Balto

This loveable young chap is Balto, a medium to large lad standing at 80cm and aged just over 12 months old. Balto is a part Mastin we think, and he has a lush, blonde, soft coat. As you can see by the videos and photos, he’s a good looking boy – just out of puppy stage. Also, the videos show how friendly he is and how popular with dogs that live together, plus with children, people, cats and even chickens.

Balto is another of our priorities (to help him find a new home), as unfortunately, he is one of three dogs we are helping urgently, due to the fact that he has had his tail cruelly cut, so it’s crucial we bring him to the UK as soon as possible before the laws change to ban dogs with cropped ears/tails etc.

Balto is great with male and female dogs and loves all people. He loves his cuddles and has a fantastic character.
Children  – we think over 10 years due to his size and when he gets excited. Balto is tested as Leish free and he has just been neutered, blood tested, chipped, vaccinated and has his passport so he is ready to travel soon as he has a foster place to come to the UK , but he is still waiting for a new home.

Foster Report:

His Best Points:

Balto is a happy and playful chap and can also be calm and gentle. Good on the lead.

If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped

All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. This costs £17. If you would like us to arrange this for you, at a reduced rate of £7.20, we will ask you to do a bank transfer to allow us to register the change.

Homecheck:

All our adoptions are subject to successful homechecks.

The adoption fee is £250.00 for transport plus an adoption fee of £250.00 depending on the breed and age of the cat.  The fee is paid via bank transfer to the UK or Paypal and covers the cost of passport, microchip, vaccines and neutering (if over 6 months) also transport costs/taxes from Spain to the UK.   There is now a deposit for all homechecks of £25 which is deducted from the adoption fee.

If the homecheck fails the £25 will be reimbursed.

If application is withdraw after the homecheck this is non refundable.

All homechecks are now conducted virtually and will be undertaken via video call (using skype, zoom or equivalent).

We will need to meet ALL members of the family living at the address, including children.

Proof of ID and landlord permission is required

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas:

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
