Stunning boy Ollie is a 3 year old Podengo lad with a smooth, short, tan and white coat and he stands at medium height. He is a lovely friendly lad and very well behaved and loves to be with other dogs. He isn’t tested with cats. Originally Ollie came back to us looking for a new home, not through any fault of his own as his family didnt want to keep him as they were leaving him on his own for long periods.

This is what else they told us.
Home Report: We think Ollie would be much happier living with another dog to give him more confidence. Recall: we used to let him off lead in a secure dog field and he loved it and came back quite easily to have his lead back on. Ollie is a real snuggler, hes quite happy on the sofa with us in the evenings, and he loves long walks. He adores soft toys and chews and he loves to play hide and seek games with his food.  Ollie travels well in the car. He’s a fantastic boy.
We are looking for a home with another friendly dog, or dogs, that Ollie can be great friends with and children over 15 years as he is not used to them. He does not like cats much

His best Points:
Loving, funny, typical Pod dog and can live with other dogs, he is a little subservient with other dogs.

Foster Report:
Ollie likes his foster home with other dogs, when a new dog arrives he seriously weighs it up and watches play then feels confident to join in the fun. He is respectful of the other dogs in the house and can sometimes bi a little timid but soon catches on and is just so happy to be in a multi dog environment and he likes the stimulation of training, and clicker training and is doing very very well at that. This is a lovely boy and its really nice to see his confidence growing with every new experience.  Whatever home this boy goes to it needs to be with another friendly dog.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped
All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. This costs £17. If you would like us to arrange this for you, at a reduced rate of £7.20, we will ask you to do a bank transfer to allow us to register the change.

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
