Details of Minty

Sweet Minty is a medium, beautiful Collie x girl, with a smooth, soft, black and white coat, Her facial markings are unique and just enhances her beauty. Minty is a mature, quiet lady, not demanding and very friendly once she gets to know you. Poor girl has been in the shelter for a long time not due to anything she has done, but she just gets overlooked and we want to try to end her run of bad luck and show people how lovely she is and that she needs a retirement home now. She will need some time to adjust to a home life and home comforts. It would be amazing for her to have a retirement home and some home comforts for her old age!

Minty is not child or cat tested, and being a mature dog will benefit from a calm home that isnt very busy and maybe a nice large garden to potter about in. In the shelter, she is a very laid back and gentle, she is also a very sweet, pretty girl, just so friendly and loves a cuddle. She is not a dominant female and therefore gets along with all dogs, during her time at the rescue she has shared with male and female dogs and has no issues but would probably be fine being an only dog as well and long as she gets the cuddles and fuss she deserves. Minty walks very well on her lead.
Minty is low leish positive which is currently managed with Alopurinol. As we know, leish is not transferable and as long as it is managed she can have a long and happy life. Alopurinol is just £4.50 for a pack of 28 tablets to last a month. The rescue where Minty is living is closing and so she is one of 35 dogs looking for a home quickly. Can you help Minty with a loving forever home?

The adoption fee is £250.00 for transport plus an adoption fee of £250.00 depending on the breed and age of the cat.  The fee is paid via bank transfer to the UK or Paypal and covers the cost of passport, microchip, vaccines and neutering (if over 6 months) also transport costs/taxes from Spain to the UK.   There is now a deposit for all homechecks of £25 which is deducted from the adoption fee.

If the homecheck fails the £25 will be reimbursed.

If application is withdraw after the homecheck this is non refundable.

All homechecks are now conducted virtually and will be undertaken via video call (using skype, zoom or equivalent).

We will need to meet ALL members of the family living at the address, including children.

Proof of ID and landlord permission is required

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas:

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
