This loveable, gentle boy is Nino – a large lad standing at 71cm and aged just 4 and half years old. Nino is a Spanish Mastin and he has a lush, light tan, soft coat. As you can see by the videos and photos, he’s a good looking boy, such a beautiful dog, inside and out with an outstanding, lovely personality. Nino is friendly with other dogs and spends all day with them, as he is too with cats. He loves people and is very gentle and good with children. He is very noble, he walks well on lead with his handler at the kennels, and he likes to walk very close so you can stroke him all the time.

Nino has mild Leish, which is managed by a daily inexpensive tablet costing £4 for a months supply, and it is non transferable to other dogs. This tablet enables him to have a full natural life expectancy. Nino is another of our priorities to help him find a new home, as unfortunately, due to the fact that he has had his tail cruelly cut, it’s crucial we bring him to the UK as soon as possible before the laws change to ban dogs with cropped ears/tails etc.

Nino is great with male and female dogs, and loves all people, he loves his cuddles. Children we think over 10 years due to his size. Can be homed on his own or to homes with other dogs. Nino has just been neutered, blood tested, chipped, vaccinated, and has his passport so he is ready to travel soon as he has been offered a foster place to come to the UK , but also he is still waiting for a new home.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog:

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped

All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. This costs £17. If you would like us to arrange this for you, at a reduced rate of £7.20, we will ask you to do a bank transfer to allow us to register the change.

Homecheck:

All our adoptions are subject to successful homechecks.

The adoption fee is £250.00 for transport plus an adoption fee of £250.00 depending on the breed and age of the cat. The fee is paid via bank transfer to the UK or Paypal and covers the cost of passport, microchip, vaccines and neutering (if over 6 months) also transport costs/taxes from Spain to the UK. There is now a deposit for all homechecks of £25 which is deducted from the adoption fee.

If the homecheck fails the £25 will be reimbursed.

All homechecks are now conducted virtually and will be undertaken via video call (using skype, zoom or equivalent).

We will need to meet ALL members of the family living at the address, including children.

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas:

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
