This cheeky little minx is Sando, he’s a smaller boy with a short cream soft coat and weighs just 10kg and about 2 and half years old. Sando was one of a group of dogs that came into our care from the local Pound as they were about to be PTS and we stepped in to save them. All his pals that came in with him have been homed so now hopefully it’s Sando turn….
Sando was a very frightened little boy when he arrived, but with some time, love and patience, he’s turned into a loving little dog who now enjoys lots of affection. He is very much a cheeky chappie when he gets his toys out and flings them around he is quite comical, and he loves playing with his toys especially fetching his ball for you to throw.

Sando mixes well with his kennel mates and will occasionally play with them but does seem to prefer his toys, he loves walkies and is full of energy so would benefit from plenty of exercise to wear him out. Sando is quite a confident little boy now and loves his fuss and cuddles, so we think he could be homed without other dogs or calm placid ones and children over 10 years and we can test him for cats if there is a need. Sando can be in the Uk all prepped in November. Sando is neutered, up to date with vaccines and has his passport so can travel, his blood tests were all clear.

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.
All dogs are microchipped
All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. This costs £17. If you would like us to arrange this for you, at a reduced rate of £7.20, we will ask you to do a bank transfer to allow us to register the change.

For Rescue Dogs coming from overseas

This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
