This lovely, gentle, large lad is Sam – a 4 year old Spanish Mastin. He has a beautiful, cream, thick coat, with a gorgeous face like a Labrador! This handsome boy is stuck in a pound in this awful heat and we want to help him get a loving home!
Sam is a very special and well-loved dog since being in kennels, as the staff love him (he is affectionate with people and social with other dogs). He can sometimes a bit timid for new situations and busy streets.
Due to Sam’s size and because he can be a little unsure of things, we think he is better homed with a female and a home with older children. He is used to the lead he will thrive in a rural environment, maybe a farm, small holding or large gardens, and a family used to walking or other outside activities. He ignores cats and can live with children over 12 years.

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.

All our adoptions are subject to successful homechecks which are carried out via a video call. There is now a deposit for all homechecks of £25 which is deducted from the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid via bank transfer to the UK (or Paypal) and covers the cost of passport, bloods, microchip, vaccines and neutering (if over 6 months) also transport costs/taxes from Spain to the UK.
If you are adopting a UK dog then the process is still the same but there will be no bloods or passport or transport costs.
If the homecheck fails the £25 will be reimbursed.
If the application is withdraw after the homecheck this is non refundable.

We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
