This handsome regal looking young boy is Coley, and he arrived at the pound just as it was losing its Lorca contract but he was one of the lucky dogs they held back in private kennels to stop him going to the kill shelter, where the contract was transferring.
Coley is a medium sized boy with a short tan coat and a black masked face.
He is a bit of a Heinz 57 and he is doing really well at the emergency private kennels. He goes out every day walking with a female dog and can see male dogs the other side of the fence with no signs of aggression. He is very friendly with people and he likes to get fuss. He does have a lot of energy and will just run around on his own, but on his walks he is very good and walks well. Coley is good around dog savvy children.
Coley has sponsorship of £100

Adopting A DogWatch UK Rescue Dog

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.

If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young the new owners will need to ensure this is done.

All dogs are microchipped                                             For Dogs coming from Spain              This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering (if old enough), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.

We can not home dogs from Spain  to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
