Hera – Labrador Mix
The very beautiful and incredibly affectionate Hera is waiting for her forever home…
 
Hera is a larger Labrador mix girl (standing about 80cm) with a blonde, soft, short coat. She was found abandoned a few months ago, she came into our care and has lapped up all the attention she can get ever since.
 
Hera is approximately 2 years old and, once introduced, gets on with all her kennel mates. She can be a slow burner though and a bit barky to begin with but after that it’s play time. Hera doesn’t like cats,  but she loves her walks and is a good (but can be a strong) girl on the lead. She is like a big puppy!
 
Hera is spayed, up to date with her vaccinations and has her passport in place so could travel to the right family, her blood tests were all clear. We are looking for a family with no cats and children over 12 years because she jumps up with excitement, which will subside once she’s being trained in her new home. Another friendly playful dog would be good for her too and a large enough garden for her to run around.

Before being adopted, dogs will have been vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas.
If old enough they will have been neutered, if too young, then the new owners will need to ensure this is done and proof sent to us once complete. All dogs are microchipped

All new owners will need to change their new dogs microchip information to their contact details. DogwatchUk does this on your behalf so that we know that its been done.

All our adoptions are subject to successful homechecks which are carried out via a video call. There is now a deposit for all homechecks of £25 which is deducted from the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid via bank transfer to the UK (or Paypal) and covers the cost of passport, bloods, microchip, vaccines and neutering (if over 6 months) also transport costs/taxes from Spain to the UK.
If you are adopting a UK dog then the process is still the same but there will be no bloods or passport or transport costs.
If the homecheck fails the £25 will be reimbursed.
If the application is withdraw after the homecheck this is non refundable.
Our checker will be given your details to contact you. All homechecks are now conducted virtually and will be undertaken via video call (using skype, zoom or equivalent).
We will need to meet ALL members of the family living at the address, including children.
Proof of ID and landlord permission (if applicable) is required
This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog including
– microchip, pet passport, vaccines, tests for South European diseases, neutering (IF OLD ENOUGH), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.

We can not home dogs from overseas to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.

Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
